Mitsubishi jumps 24 places to place sixth overall in J.D. Power's 2020 Initial Quality Study. This gives Mitsubishi the biggest year-over-year improvement in the standings. In addition, this 6th in 2020 allows Mitsubishi to be the highest-ranked Japanese brand in this list.
J.D. Power's study measures faulty components and features that are difficult to use, difficult to understand, or do not perform as owners expect. Initial quality is determined by the number of problems encountered per 100 vehicles. However, a lower result, therefore, reflects better quality.
“The results of the 2020 JD Power Initial Quality Survey recognize the importance we place on the quality, reliability, and value of all Mitsubishi vehicles, which is especially important because our customers also tell us that these are the main buying reasons here in Canada, ”said Juyu Jeon, president, and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Canada.
